Nicola Kielland, PhD, PMP

Nicola has a degree in Chemistry from the University of Genova (2006) and he holds an Official Master and a PhD in Organic Chemistry, from the University of Barcelona (2012).

He has a Master in Project Management from EAE Business School and he is a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) (2016).

Nicola received a FPI fellowship from the Spanish government to carry out his PhD in Organic Chemistry (2007-2012) with in Rodolfo Lavilla’s group in the Parc Cientific de Barcelona (UB). Afterwards he joined Arjan Kleij’s group in ICIQ as a post-doc, working in green chemistry and carbon dioxide fixation (2013). He became interested in project management and joined again Rodolfo Lavilla’s group as a postdoc and project manager (2014-2015) and Eduard Torrents’s group in IBEC (2016) with the same role.    

Currently Nicola works as a scientific project manager and postdoctoral researcher at the Biomarkers and Nutrimetabolomics group from the University of Barcelona.
