Gregorio Peron
Gregorio obtained a MSc degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Technology from the University of Padova (Italy) in 2014 and a PhD in Molecular Sciences (Pharmaceutical Sciences curriculum) from the same University in 2018. During his PhD, Gregorio focused his research on the application of MS- and NMR-based Metabolomics in bioactivity studies involving natural products and nutraceuticals, as well as on the extraction, characterization and purification of phytocompounds of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical interest from natural sources. In 2017 he spent six months in Kathmandu (Nepal) working on ethnobotany and ethnomedicine in collaboration with Tribhuvan University, as part of his PhD Project. From October 2017 to April 2018 he was involved as analytical researcher at Lundbeck Pharmaceuticals Italy s.p.a. (Padova, Italy), developing analytical methods for the analysis of APIs and reaction intermediates. Actually, Gregorio is enrolled as post-doc at the “Biomarkers and Nutritional & Food Metabolomics” research group, focusing his research on the development of targeted UPLC-MS methods for the analysis of dietary biomarkers in biological fluids.
